With the help of local business partners, the Maricopa County Regional School District receives donations of potential STEM resources. Superintendent Steve Watson then makes these items available directly to county teachers at no cost through the STEM Resource Center. Donations are random and are received as-is. Examples of past donations include solar lighting, portable battery packs, small electronics, sport cameras, headphones, bluetooth speakers, R/C cars and more.
The center is open to registered teachers from all schools within Maricopa County - including public, private, charter and home schools - who lead classroom instruction. Administration and support staff are welcome to visit the center, but may not collect donations at this time.
The STEM Resource Center is open by appointment only. All teachers who attend a scheduled session will receive an overview of resources available, the ability to brainstorm with other teachers, and access to select resources from the center for their classroom. Click here to see a list of sessions currently available, or sign up below to be notified as new sessions are added. Teachers may visit once per semester.
If you are and administrator and would like to schedule a customized visit for 6-12 of your teachers, please e-mail us directly at STEM@maricopa.gov.
Thank you for your request!
You will be notified by e-mail when new STEM Resource Center sessions are made available.
